July 2-4 – Wawa Welcome America! Festivities – Philadelphia, PA
July 2-4 – Wawa Welcome America! Festivities – Philadelphia, PA For the 4th of July, Caressa flew to America’s birthplace – Philadelphia – to participate in their festivities. Her weekend was full of media interviews and events celebrating our country's freedom and honoring our military, past and present, who protect us every day. She participated in an interview for some morning hits during Good Morning America, and kicked off the Wawa Welcome America Concert by singing the National Anthem that was enjoyed by the crowds of thousands of enthusiastic fans.

June 23-26 – Miss Virginia Pageant – Roanoke, VA Caressa was in her home state for the Miss Virginia Pageant! She kept busy with rehearsals most of the week, but made time to speak with all of the contestants, teen contestants and princesses. The Miss Virginia Organization produced an amazing show, and Caressa was honored to be a part of it. She sang every night with fellow Miss America, Heather French Henry, and had the opportunity to sing a few songs solo.
June 12 – Air Force Cycling Classic – Arlington, VA
June 12 – Air Force Cycling Classic – Arlington, VA Caressa traveled to her home state to participate in the Air Force Cycling Classic in Arlington, Va. She started the races by singing the National Anthem and participated in the awards ceremony by presenting flowers to the winners. She also visited the Air Force Memorial where she had a delightful time meeting with Air Force soldiers.
June 10 – International Licensing Expo – Las Vegas, NV
June 10 – International Licensing Expo – Las Vegas, NV Caressa was in Vegas to help AirWaves launch our new Miss America branded apparel line at the 2010 International Licensing Expo. While there, she spent time with The Buckeye Group’s Kevin Kroos and Billy Goldberg in the booth. June 7-9 – CMN Champions Across America – Washington, D.C.
June 7-9 – CMN Champions Across America – Washington, D.C. Caressa was in D.C. to accompany 55 very special Children’s Miracle Network ambassadors to the White House to meet President Barack Obama on the annual trip presented by Wal-Mart and Sam's Club. These young “Champions” are living testaments to the medical care being provided at Children’s Miracle Network hospitals across the country. Caressa had the opportunity to shake hands with President Barack Obama then, join American Idol runner-up, David Archuleta, to sing to the children before they met the President!

May 31 – San Diego Padres – San Diego, CA Caressa was in sunny San Diego where she participated in some exciting events with Amway’s brand, Nutrilite, promoting their Color Yourself Healthy program and their supplements for fruits and vegetables. Caressa had the opportunity to attend the San Diego Padres game with Nutrilite, where she not only performed the National Anthem, but also performed “God Bless America” during the 7th inning stretch.
May 27-29 The Duke of Edinburgh’s Awards – Greenville, South Carolina
May 27-29 The Duke of Edinburgh’s Awards – Greenville, South Carolina Caressa traveled to South Carolina to participate in events surrounding the visit of HRH The Prince Edward, Earl of Wessex and his annual Duke of Edinburgh’s Awards! Some highlights included joining our MAO Board Chairman, Sam Haskell and HRH The Prince Edward and MAO President and CEO Art McMaster in handing out the Duke of Edinburgh’s Awards to the 70 Miss South Carolina Organization recipients. Caressa also performed at the Miss SC Evening of Dreams Gala, as well as joined in the festivities for the Great Scot Parade and the Scottish Games.
May 22 – Richmond Symphony Orchestra – Richmond, Va
May 22 – Richmond Symphony Orchestra – Richmond, Va Caressa had the unique opportunity to conduct the Richmond Symphony at their Celebrity Maestro event. Shevery nervous, as she had never conducted an orchestra before, but she had some practice with the conductor and felt ready to make her debut! Caressa conducted “America the Beautiful.” All in all it was a fun event that helped raise money for the Symphony and was truly a once in a lifetime thrill!
May 21 & 25 - DSW Event –Chicago and Arlington
May 21 & 25 - DSW Event –Chicago and Arlington Caressa appeared at two DSW Designer Shoe Warehouse events in May in Chicago and Arlington, Va., where she got to meet many of her fans and promote DSW’s beautiful shoes. Caressa always has so much fun at these events because she gets to meet people who also share her love for fashion and shoes!

May 9-13 – Visit to Our Troops in Germany Caressa had the opportunity to spend five days in Germany where she visited U.S. military personnel and their families, U.S. school children attending Department of Defense schools, and wounded warriors at the Landstuhl Regional Medical Center and at warrior transition centers. This was her first time traveling to Europe and she was so excited to have the opportunity to touch the lives of people whose bravery and commitment to our country are truly inspiring.

April 24 – Whitman Walker Award Ceremony – Washington, D.C. Caressa was in D.C. to receive the prestigious Whitman-Walker Partner for Life Award for her dedication to HIV/AIDS awareness. Caressa was truly honored to be recognized for her commitment to her personal platform and following Caressa’s heartfelt acceptance speech, she received an overwhelming standing ovation.
April 22 – Earth Day with Keep America Beautiful – NYC
April 22 – Earth Day with Keep America Beautiful – NYC Caressa celebrated the 40th anniversary of Earth Day and the annual Great American Cleanup effort, in Times Square where she helped launch Keep America Beautiful’s “Green Starts Here" rally. The Earth Day festivities included an appearance by Mayor Bloomberg, a performance by Broadway stars and a performance by our very own, Miss America 2010 Caressa Cameron!

April 21 – NASDAQ –NYC Caressa teamed up with executives from Keep America Beautiful to ring the closing bell of NASDAQ. That night she attended a gala event where Pepsi Co. and Waste Management announced their recycling initiative. The host for the evening was actress Aisha Tyler, and Caressa was so excited to meet her!

April 20 – 140 Characters Conference – NYC Caressa traveled to NYC where she had the opportunity to open the 140 Characters Conference. This event was the largest worldwide gathering of people interested in the effects of real-time Internet on both business and “we” the people. Click here to watch Caressa open the conference! April 13 – USO Annual Awards – Washington, D.C. Caressa attended the star-studded USO of Metropolitan Washington Awards Dinners where she enjoyed meeting military personalities and celebrities. She is pictured with the Bacon Brothers who were each awarded the USO Merit Award for their dedication to the USO and our nation’s service members.

April 12 – 700 Club – Norfolk, VA Caressa appeared on the 700 Club with co-host and Miss America 1973 Terry Meeuwsen and Pat Roberts. She was interviewed about childhood obesity, her commitment towards HIV/AIDS awareness and her faith. April 10 – Cherry Blossom Festival Parade – Washington, D.C. Caressa had the honor of being the Grand Marshall for the Annual Cherry Blossom Festival Parade in Washington, D.C. She also stunned the parade goers with her amazing performance of “Listen.” At the end of the parade she had the unique opportunity of sitting with the broadcasters to wrap things up. Caressa had a great time!

April 8 – Fox & Friends – NYC Caressa appeared on Fox & Friends with morning co-host and Miss America 1989 Gretchen Carlson, who interviewed Caressa about helping Dairy Queen celebrate the 25th birthday of the Blizzard and Dairy Queen's 70th anniversary. A portion of proceeds from all Blizzards sold on August 5, Miracle Treat Day, will go towards the Children's Miracle Network.
April 7 – Mo’Nique Show Taping – Atlanta, GA
April  7 – Mo’Nique Show Taping – Atlanta, GA Caressa had a great time taping an episode of The Mo’Nique Show, hosted by Academy Award winner, Mo’Nique, to be aired at a later date. She was featured as a guest, along with actress, Jackie Harry and gospel singer, Shirley Caesar. After the show, Mo’Nique took time out for Caressa to privately talk to her and wish her well.

April 5 – Washington National Home Opener – Washington, D.C. Caressa had the honor of participating in the Washington Nationals Opening Day ceremonies before a crowd of 41,290. Not only did she shake hands with the President, but she also wowed the audience with her rendition of God Bless America during the 7th inning stretch.
March 27 – Great American Cleanup – Pass Christian, MS
March 27 – Great American Cleanup – Pass Christian, MS Caressa lent a hand to Keep America Beautiful's Great American Cleanup campaign in Pass Christian, Mississippi and their Green Starts Here rally. This event spotlights the state of Mississippi’s involvement in the 2010 Great American Cleanup, which mobilizes millions of volunteers for 30,000 community improvement events in all 50 states from March 1 through May 31. Caressa participated in several cleanup projects throughout the day in Pass Christian.
March 17 – Radio & TV Correspondents Dinner – Washington, D.C.
March 17 – Radio & TV Correspondents Dinner – Washington, D.C. Caressa had the honor of attending the Radio & TV Correspondents Dinner in Washington, D.C. where she sat in the front row with Melinda Wittstock, the Capitol News Connection CEO. The event was very entertaining and Vice President Joe Biden’s speech impressed the crowd with his humor. It was exciting for Caressa to meet so many broadcasters and journalists since she would like to pursue a career in that field after her year of service.
March 11-13 – 2010 Homecoming – Roanoke, VA
March 11-13 – 2010 Homecoming – Roanoke, VA The red carpet was rolled out for Caressa as she was welcomed back to her home state of Virginia, for the first time since her crowning. Caressa participated in several events for the Miss Virginia Organization including an autograph session and gala with her 2010 pageant mates, Miss California 2009 Kristy Cavinder, Miss Louisiana 2009 Katherine Putnam and Miss Kentucky 2009 Mallory Ervin. She was also on hand to crown her successor, Miss Virginia Chinah Helmandollar, who was thrilled to take on her new title. It was a great weekend thanks to the volunteers of the Miss Virginia Scholarship Organization!

March 8 – Media Moments in NYC Caressa was in to participate in several local and national media interviews while in New York. She participated in interviews with the Associated Press Television, Good Day New York, ABC News Now online, BetterTV, and America's Nightly Scoreboard. Caressa has been in high demand since her crowning, and the interview requests haven’t stopped coming in!

March 2 - Read Across America Day – Grand Rapids, MI Caressa had the pleasure of working with Amway once again on Read Across America Day at Helen DeVos Children’s Hospital. Amway graciously donated 200 books to the hospital and Caressa had a great time reading them to all of the children. Caressa said, “What I love , especially about children’s hospitals , is that they’re all still kids. They’re still playing their Wii Games and they still have the energy to challenge their moms.” “ This was inspiring event to be a part of while in Michigan.”

Feb. 24-25 –Artistry Cosmetic’s Convention in Hawaii Aloha! Caressa visited the beautiful islands of Maui with the Artistry Cosmetics/Amway Global team. She was so excited to spend some time with her official skincare and cosmetics sponsor, Artistry by Amway, and also because she has never been to Hawaii! She had a great time meeting with their Diamond Club members and participating in promotional photo and video shoots that will be used during her year. She also took her first dip in the Pacific Ocean – reminiscent of the Atlantic City Ocean days!
Feb. 23 – National Pancake Day – Los Angeles, CA
Feb. 23 – National Pancake Day – Los Angeles, CA Caressa served as the official spokesperson for National Pancake Day at a Los Angeles IHOP, flipping pancakes and encouraging IHOP patrons to make donations that will help children with life-threatening illnesses in hospitals across North America. In 2009, IHOP raised more than $1.5 million for Children's Miracle Network hospitals and other local charities throughout the country. This year, they hope to raise $1.75 million with a goal to reach a cumulative $5 million in funds raised in the first five years of celebrating National Pancake Day.

Feb. 15 – Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia – Philadelphia, PA Caressa celebrated President’s Day, in Philadelphia for her very first visit as the Goodwill Ambassador to the Children’s Miracle Network hospitals. She spent the day touring the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia and visiting with children who were battling life-threatening illnesses.
Feb. 4-7 – Superbowl Weekend – Miami, FL
Feb. 4-7 – Superbowl Weekend – Miami, FL Caressa had the honor of attending Superbowl XLIV to experience the NFL festivities and the big game Sunday in Miami, Florida. Caressa spent her weekend participating in several exciting events for Taste of the NFL, where she had the opportunity to meet the most renowned sports and entertainment icons in America today.

Feb. 1–3 – NYC Media Tour - NYC Caressa kicked off her year as Miss America 2010 in NYC with appearances on Regis and Kelly, Fox & Friends, The Wendy Williams Show, Inside Edition and The Rush Limbaugh Show. She had a fabulous time promoting our sponsors and showing the world exactly why she was chosen as Miss America 2010!
